Friday 12th March 2021
Good afternoon Chase Harriers,
Hopefully after all this time we can now see the light at the end of the lockdown tunnel (let’s hope it’s not a train coming in our direction!). England Athletics have stated in their COVID-19 Roadmap 2021 that as from 29th March “Outdoor unorganised activity (non-coached) can take place in groups of 6”. This is subject to the successful completion of the Government’s Stage 1 lockdown easing.
If this is the case, I will post both road and chase routes on the 29th ready for our training runs on 30th March. As before, please organise yourselves into your groups of 6 and agree your start time and whether you will run from the Leisure Centre Car Park or Flints Field Car Park on the Chase.
On another note, by now you should have received or should be receiving soon an email from England Athletics informing you that your registration is due at from 1st April. Luckily EA have kept the individual athlete’s registration at £15.00 and club affiliation at £150 for the next year. We as a committee realise that over the last 12 months we have been unable to meet as a complete club and have not had our usual social events. We have therefore decided to reflect this, we will reduce our subs for this year to £20.00 for full membership and £15.00 for retired, student and unemployed members. New members will remain at £30.00 with the expectation that we can provide a ‘normal’ service this year.
You can pay your subs by bank transfer, cheque or old fashioned cash, just get in touch with me (WhatsApp, Messenger, email or phone) and I’ll give you details of how to pay.
Hopefully see you in the not too distant future, keep on running.
Steve (That’s not a hill, it’s an upward flat bit) Burnham.
